Tim Evans is a renowned and highly-regarded Musical Director who is equally adept at musically directing pantomime as he is at more operatic repertoire. In a career of over 35 years he has worked on over 150 major theatrical productions throughout the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands. He has worked for many of the world’s leading theatrical producers as well as being Musical Director of Cabaret and My Fair Lady for the BBC.

Tim is also known for his ability to put together very large theatrical celebrations - those involving over 100 people, the largest involving over 300 performers – having done many during the course of his career at venues throughout the UK.

As an orchestrator, his arrangements have been heard on many shows. In 2014 he was commissioned to write new orchestrations for Oh What a Lovely War. These are currently being heard in productions worldwide.

Tim’s knowledge of musical theatre is highly-regarded and was put to use by Thames Valley University and the London College of Music for their Masters degree in Musical Theatre Composition for which Tim was a lecturer.

In 2010, along with Alastair Walkinshaw, Tim founded TimpanAli Productions. Together they have produced two full-scale musicals: Jesus Christ Superstar and Oh What a Lovely War; a one-night concert: Mad About Musicals; several Forgotten Musicals in Concert: Babes in Arms, Paint Your Wagon, Call Me Madam, and Mack and Mabel and a Cole Porter revue. TimpanAli Productions also produced The Wiz in conjunction with Drama Lab and Dance World Cup.

Aside from musical theatre, Tim is a panto afficionado. For ten years he edited John Morley’s pantomime scripts for publication; John Morley being what The Times newspaper dubbed ‘The doyen of pantomime writers’. Today, Tim writes panto scripts with Alastair Walkinshaw.

Alastair Walkinshaw has been involved in drama and amateur theatre productions for most of his life.

Since moving to Jersey in 2007 he has worked on many productions, in one way or another, for the Jersey Green Room Club; Jersey Amateur Dramatic Club; and the Jersey Gilbert and Sullivan Society. This has included appearing on stage, working backstage and directing productions of ‘Sweeney Todd’, ‘Babes in the Wood’ and ‘Dick Whittington’.

Since co-founding TimpanAli Productions with Tim Evans in 2010, he has directed 'Sunset Boulevard',  ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and produced semi-staged concerts of ‘Babes in Arms’, ‘Paint Your Wagon’, ‘Mack and Mabel’ and ‘Call Me Madam’ under the heading of Forgotten Musicals. With his production hat on he was involved in ‘Oh What A Lovely War’ in November 2014  and 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' in October 2017. ‘The Wiz’ as a joint production with DramaLab and Dance World Cup; and ‘Mad About Musicals’. But it all started with a Cole Porter Revue.

When not producing, he can be found writing pantomime scripts and honing the character of the Dame. Outside of the theatre he is a teacher in a local Secondary School.
